Wadesboro bar surrenders alcohol permit, closes after triple homicide

A neighborhood bar in Wadesboro is closed after triple murder late Friday night.

Police were called to Mr. D's Bar and Grill on East Caswell Street just before 11:30 p.m. Friday on a report of shots fired, officials said.

Authorities said officers arrived to find two men on the floor. They were both pronounced dead on the scene.

Officers found two others injured inside the business, police said. One was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

The other victim, a female, was treated and released from the hospital.

"When something happens like this, everyone feels a loss," resident Brittany Tyson said.

Robbie Harris, 30, of Anson County, was arrested and charged with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of assault with a deadly weapon, inflicting serious injury with intent to kill.

The Wadesboro police chief told Channel 9 one of the victims and the suspect had an ongoing feud.

The victims who were killed are JA'Ques Kerreon McBryde, Thomas Maye III and Mareco Lawilder McNair.

The Alcohol Law Enforcement assisted with the investigation of Mr. D's Bar and Grill after the triple homicide. An ALE agent told Channel 9 that the owner decided to voluntarily surrender the bar's alcohol permit. The ALE notified the ABC Commission and the business is closed for good.

On Saturday night, Anson County Sheriff's Office deputies were called to a shooting on Sam Johnson Road in Morven.

Sheriff Landric Reid told Channel 9 that a man was shot in the leg and is expected to be OK.

Reid said he believes the shooting was in retaliation for the deadly shootings in Wadesboro. Authorities are still investigating how the victim is connected to the homicides.

Deputies have leads on the shooter, but no one has been arrested.
