WANTED: Hickory homicide suspect known to visit Charlotte, Stanly Co.

HICKORY, N.C. — Hickory police are searching for a man accused of shooting and killing another man earlier this month.

An indictment was obtained for Thomas Alexander Seabrooks, 32, in connection with the murder of Michael Bryan Gardner, 27.

Officers were called Dec. 4 to Main Avenue SW in Hickory, where they found Gardner with a gunshot wound. He died at the scene.

Investigators believe an altercation occurred between Seabrooks and Gardner before the shooting.

Police said Seabrooks is known to frequent the Stanly County, Charlotte and Greensboro areas.
