Wesley Chapel asks school board to drop redistricting plan

UNION COUNTY, N.C. — Wesley Chapel town leaders are formally asking Union County Schools to drop their redistricting plan.

The council passed a resolution Tuesday night asking the district to come up with alternatives to easing overcrowding at schools.

Parents have been protesting ever since the new assignments came out last week and dozens of parents have formed committees to explore other options to take to the school board.

The board meets again Wednesday.
