Witnesses: Motorcycle collided with two cars in fatal accident

HUDSPETH — Cabarrus County sheriff's officials are still investigating what led to a deadly motorcycle crash last night near the Speedway in Concord.

This morning, campers were still shaken up.  Many of them witnessed the horrible accident that claimed the life of 25-year-old Carl Parker.

Authorities say Parker was riding his motorcycle around 6:30 last night on Morehead Road feet away from the Speedway.

Witnesses say he collided with two cars.

Campers in the area dialed 911 then rushed to try and help Parker, but he died on the scene.

Traffic along Morehead Road near Hudspeth was shut down for hours.

One camper who rushed to Parker's aid described to us what he saw

"We heard a collision then saw the motorcycle in the air spinning like this.  He was in the middle of the highway," says Ricky Mabe, who witnessed the accident.

Friends say Parker worked for the graphics company, "Red Eye Designs," in Concord.
