CHARLOTTE, N.C. - A Charlotte woman is accused of trying to steal money from a couple after they hired her as an interior decorator on Tuesday.
Police said Barbara Green-Knapp took three checks from the Iredell couple totaling nearly $22,000.
She was supposed to use the money to buy items for their home, but the couple told police that they did not receive all of the items.
Green-Knapp was arrested last week.
