CHARLOTTE - Police say it appears the car went airborne before crashing into the front of the Asian Market on Bradford Drive.
Police told property owners the woman ordered food at nearby Chicken King, left, came back and never took her foot off of the gas pedal. Officers say the accident could have been much worse.
Maria Housiadas owns the building and she is glad there were no injuries.
"I'm just glad nobody got hurt because like five minutes earlier there was a little boy. The Chinese little boy from the Asian Market was outside playing right here and two minutes later after the little kid went in, this happened. We're just lucky nobody got hurt," said Housiadas.
Police have not yet said if the woman driving will face charges when found.
