SHELBY, N.C. — Shelby police said a woman driving a stolen car out of Charlotte led them on a chase in and out of the city overnight.
Officers said Lisa Laskowski ran from a license checkpoint at Royster Avenue and Smith Street around 11 p.m. and led police on a 30-minute pursuit that ran through Polkville and then led back to Shelby.
Officers said they finally had to blow out the car's tires before the chase ended at Charles Road and Dixon Boulevard.
Three people were in the car but nobody was hurt.
Laskowski is facing several charges, including possession of a stolen vehicle and careless and reckless driving.
She is due in court Monday.
