Woman talks about father's close bond with the Rev. Graham

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Few knew the Rev. Billy Graham as well as those who traveled with him ministering the gospel of Jesus Christ to millions all over the world.

Grady Wilson was there from the very start of Graham's ministry.

The bond between Wilson and Graham was strong.

They went to stadiums throughout the world to show God's love to people and Wilson's daughter said she knows the two of them are reunited in heaven after Graham’s death Wednesday.

Connie Wilson said that was the very beginning of the relationship between Graham and her father.

"My dad was with him the night Mr. Graham accepted the Lord," Wilson said.

The two men had a bond stronger than blood.

"Daddy just saw God's anointing on him," Wilson said.

As Graham traveled the world ministering, her father was usually with him.

Sometimes she'd travel along and she said she encountered God at one of the famous crusades.

"Uncle Billy was up there telling me I needed to accept Jesus Christ in my heart,” she said. “I thought, ‘Well, he said I needed to do that,’ so, that was a when I came to know the Lord."

She said Graham had a way of making others want a relationship with Jesus Christ.

"He's speaking to the crowd and said, ‘God loves you,’ and he repeated it, ‘God loves you’ and you saw different faces, and God was speaking to them through him."

Wilson said even though Graham has passed away, his ministry will continue for generations.
