Woman who embezzled funds from Cherryville to be sentenced

CHERRYVILLE, N.C. — The woman who embezzled more than $435,000 from the town of Cherryville is facing a judge.
 
Bonnie Alexander was led into the federal courthouse for a sentencing hearing.
 
Alexander pleaded guilty in January 2013 to embezzling city funds while she was employed as the town's finance director.
 
Eyewitness News has a crew in the courtroom and will have the latest on the sentencing hearing at 5 p.m.
