YORK COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA — A York County man is in jail tonight after deputies say he sexually assaulted an 8-year-old girl.
Norman Pratt was known as a family friend and watched the child for several hours each day. Earlier this month the child told her grandmother Pratt had inappropriately touched her. He also asked her to take off her clothes.
When police confronted Pratt he tried to apologize.
