ROCK HILL, S.C. — The Winthrop University basketball team honored four York County officers during its First Responders Appreciation Day Sunday in Rock Hill.
Sgts. Randy Clinton, Buddy Brown and Kyle Cummings, who were wounded by gunfire in the line of duty last month, were part of Winthrop's pregame meeting with head coach Pat Kelsey ahead of its game against Longwood.

Also honored was Sgt. Chris Doty, the brother of slain detective Mike Doty.
