York County students, staff build stuffed animals for children in need

YORK COUNTY, S.C. — York Comprehensive High School students, employees and family members came together Sunday to build hundreds of stuffed animals at Carolina Place Mall to donate to children’s hospitals on Valentine’s Day.

In a tweet, the school district said more than 85 people took part in the event at Build-A-Bear Workshop and built 448 stuffed animals.

The stuffed animals will be delivered to children in hospitals who are in need of a pick-me-up on Valentine’s Day.
