With a cold front to the south, we are catching a break as far as the heat, humidity and the storm chances go.
Temperatures will rise a couple of degrees as the humidity builds through the weekend.
Storm chances slowly ramp up with just scattered showers Saturday and a better chance on Sunday as a disturbance pushes through.
Highs will be in the mid-80s both Saturday and Sunday.
The rain chance will be higher Saturday west of Charlotte.
Showers and thunderstorms could hit any time on Sunday and not just in the late afternoon or evening.
The early summer heat returns next week as temperatures push close to 90 degrees with more scattered storms.
