New brewery to open in NoDa; craft beer store in SouthEnd

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte craft beer scene has grown at a rapid pace over the past several years.

A new brewery is set to open next week in Noda.

Heist Brewery will host a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday, Oct. 17 and a grand opening party on Friday, Oct. 19 with food and drink specials.

The brewery will offer a Light Lager, i2PA, Red, Hefeweizen, Pale Ale, Oatmeal Stout and rotating Belgian tap, plus seasonal specials. Heist beers will be available by the pint, mugs, growlers and flights.

Heist is the first locally-owned brewery in the region to feature a full kitchen serving what Executive Chef Rob Masone called "Twisted American Cuisine."

Menu highlights include Himalayan Shrimp Stix, Kurobuta Pork Belly Corn Dogs, HB Squiggle Nutz,  Smoked Turkey Baguette, Parmesan-Rosemary Tater Tots and more.

The brewery is located at 2909 North Davidson Street, Suite 200 inside the Highland Mills Lofts.

A new craft beer store will open in SouthEnd this week.  Good Bottle Company is set to open Friday.

The store will sell single bottles, cans, growlers, and will have 12 taps for sampling purposes.
