1 Person Treated For Life-Threatening Injuries After Apartment Fire

 

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

A fire broke out at a two-story apartment building on Cantwell Street late Tuesday morning.

Officials said one person was transported from the scene to Carolinas Medical Center Main for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

More than 25 firefighters were on the scene. They said it took about 10 minutes to get the fire under control.

The building is at 829 Cantwell Street, off of Hoskins Road.

The fire did about $15,000 worth of damage. officials said.

Firefighters said they think the cause of the fire was accidental.
