10 Windows Broken In Gastonia Vehicle Vandalism

GASTONIA, N.C. —

Vandals broke windows of ten vehicle in South Gastonia this week.

Gastonia police said even though they have a lot of cases, the have few clues and have run out of leads. They're asking the public for help.

Police spokesperson Donna Lahser said, "We really could use the public's help to further the investigations."

For the most part, it appears the vandals did not steal anything. There were only broken windows at the scenes. Some of the victims we spoke to found BB gun pellets or at least marks from the pellets.

The victims think someone was driving around shooting out the windows. One victim, Michell Carroll, wonders what kind of people break vehicle windows for fun.

She said, "Heartless. Selfish. People who think about themselves."

Carroll doesn't know how long she'll have to go with plastic for a window. She said, "I can't afford a $200 window right at Christmas time."

She's a single mother with two children and more pressing expenses.
