Someone purchased the winning ticket from the Market Express store at the corner of Old Monroe Road and Potter Road two weeks ago, Channel 9’s newspaper partner, The Enquirer-Journal, reports. The winner has 180 days from the draw date to come forward, according to the N.C. Education Lottery. After that, the winnings are no longer available.
If prize money is unclaimed, half goes back to the lottery fund and half goes back to prizes for future games, lottery officials said.
A lottery ticket worth $200,000 that was sold on March 20 near Sanford is set to expire Sept. 16. Someone bought the ticket at the Kangaroo Express at 14591 N.C. 27 West in Sanford. Its numbers are 9 – 36- 39 – 44 – 45.
To claim the $200,000 prize, the winner must present the ticket at the N.C. Education Lottery headquarters in Raleigh by 5 p.m. on Sept. 16.
