SALISBURY, N.C. —
Aubrey Grimes, 81, was arrested late last week at his mobile home along St. Matthews Church Road. He's known to many as “Pops” from his volunteer work as a scorekeeper at Little League games in eastern Rowan County.
Detectives said two more boys and a 65-year-old man have come forward and said they too were sexually assaulted. Sheriff George Wilhelm said the older man from High Point said he was molested by Grimes 50 years ago.
"We have victims that were children and are now grandparents. So anyone who has been victimized by this man, please contact us at the Rowan County Sheriff's Office," Wilhelm said.
Grimes is being held in the Rowan County Jail under $100,000 bond.
