CATAWBA, S.C. —
Four people were rushed to the hospital for chemical burns at a mill in Catawba, S.C.
Officials at the Resolute Forest Product said the workers were in the wood pulping area when they were burned.
Officials confirmed the chemical released was confined to the pulping area of the operation and did not come in contact with soil or water used in the facility.
Three people were flown to the hospital. One was taken to Piedmont Medical Center.
The company is now investigating what led to the chemical burns
