SALISBURY, N.C. —
"They wanted me to buy more points so that I could stay more, have more friends down," she said.
Wyndham offered Josey 192,000 points for $30,000.
"I told them right off, I could not buy anything that day cause my husband wasn't with me," she said.
She said the salesperson convinced her to sign a contract and use her credit card for a $7500 down payment. But Josey said she was assured they wouldn't run her card until she went home to get her husband's approval. But he said no. That's when she checked and found they'd already sent the charge through.
"They credited my Discover Card for $7500, the same day that we were down there and they were not suppose to do that," she said.
Josey said she mailed a cancellation letter within the five day cancellation period and tried calling Wyndham Resort.
"They told me just call and I did. I called and I called and I called and they never answered me," she said.
Later a Wyndham representative told her they couldn't reverse the the sale because she didn't cancel in writing.
Action 9 got in touch with Wyndham Resort about Josey's complaint. A spokesperson said they take all complaints very seriously and they have one of the most comprehensive sales compliance programs in the industry. It then reversed the charges to Josey's credit card.
