Alexander County Authorities Calling Deaths Murder-Suicide

HIDDENITE, N.C. —

Several detectives are at a Hiddenite home after authorities found two bodies inside Thursday afternoon.

Investigators are calling what happened inside the mobile home on Hill River Road in Alexander County a murder-suicide.

Officers went to the home after no one had heard from the couple in several days.

Authorities have identified those killed as 43-year-old Boyd Clark and 38-year-old Carrie Clark. The sheriff said Boyd Clark shot and killed his wife and then turned the gun on himself.

A man who worked with Boyd Clark said he never had any indication there were problems at home.
