Alleged Ponzi Scheme Runner’s Assets Go To Auction

CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. —

Hundreds of investors who say they lost millions in an alleged Ponzi scheme will be keeping a close eye on a Catawba County auction that starts Friday.

Everything from a huge motor home to several cars to a room filled with memorabilia from the “I Love Lucy Show” will be auctioned off.

The owner, J.V. Huffman Jr., is locked up under $1 million bond after being accused of securities fraud.

The auction starts Friday at 10 a.m. at Huffman’s home on Wishing Well Lane south of Claremont. • LINK: Huffman Auction
