Anti-Abortion Group Protests Outside Concord School

CONCORD, N.C. —

Students at a Concord high school were welcomed by protesters Tuesday morning.

Operation Save America, an anti-abortion group, was at Cox Mill High School. Members waved signs and handed out fliers to students as they went into school.

Protesters defended their actions.

“We believe it is our duty to give a voice to these children and let these kids see what's really going on,” said the Rev. Flip Benhan.

Parents said they weren't happy to see them.

“Everybody's got a right to their opinion, but do you want a bunch of kids going to school and hearing this every morning?” asked one father.

Benhan said the reason the group chose Cox Mill High School is because that was the only school in Concord that they hadn't been to yet.
