BBB Has Warning About Company Offering Computers

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

The Better Business Bureau is sending out a warning to customers of a certain financial service company.

The BBB has received more than a hundred complaints from around the Carolinas about BlueHippo. The company offers computers to low-income customers.

Officials with the BBB said BlueHippo uses high-pressure sales tactics and makes it difficult for customers to get refunds.

They say don't fall for something that sounds too good to be true.

“Just don't be enticed by an ad that sounds like it's going to fit a perfect need for you,; check them out first,” said Tom Bartholomy with the Charlotte Better Business Bureau.

The Federal Trade Commission has 8,000 pages of complaints on BlueHippo, officials said.
