Body Found Inside Burned Car In Pineville

Police say a man found dead inside a burned car in Pineville may have died accidentally.

An officer found the vehicle on fire just before 6 a.m. Tuesday behind Coaches Bar on Park Road near Park Crossing Drive. He called firefighters, who quickly put out the flames and found the body inside.

The State Bureau of Investigation was called in to investigate, but it appears the fire was accidental.

Authorities said they are not releasing any other details about the case until they get a report from the medical examiner.
