Body Of Missing Woman Found In West Charlotte

 

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

The body of a missing west Charlotte woman was found in Irwin Creek early Tuesday.

Barbara Springs, 61, had been missing since last Wednesday. Authorities said they do not suspect foul play in her death.

Springs was reported missing from her home on Barringer Drive. Crews used boats, helicopters and search dogs to look for her in the days after her disappearance.

An autopsy is being conducted to determine how Springs died.
