Bus Carrying 40 Students Crashes In West Charlotte

A bus carrying 40 students crashed in west Charlotte Tuesday afternoon.

Officials said just after 2 p.m., Charlotte-Mecklenburg bus number 1031 was making a stop at Freedom and Park Fairfax Drives when another car hit a third vehicle causing that one to spin into the bus.

Medic reports several students were taken to the hospital for evaluation, but no serious injuries were reported.
