Cameras Catch Burglars Inside East Mecklenburg High School

Charlotte-Mecklenburg School security officials caught two people trying to steal TV's and electronics from East Mecklenburg High School overnight.

Authorities say Michael Philmon and Crystal Hudson were caught on camera loading the items onto a truck around 11 p.m. Thursday.

The pair led police on a high speed chase into Union County where Stallings police joined in the pursuit.

The chase ended in Stallings when officers threw down stop sticks.

Investigators are looking into evidence to determine if the two are also connected to a break-in at Winterfield Elementary School.
