Carolina Health Care System Extended Times

Most Charlotte-Mecklenburg area hospitals are currently experiencing very high census numbers due to a variety of medical conditions, including flu-like symptoms, respiratory distress and other diagnoses.

Emergency Departments are being especially challenged due to high volumes of patients seeking treatment for non-emergent conditions.

Carolinas HealthCare System is attempting to help the community during this rather exceptional time. Three of Carolinas Medical Center's Urgent Care Centers are extending their hours of operations as a convenience to patients who may seek medical care after regular hours. Patients who may seek medical care for non-emergency conditions outside of office hours of their own physician can go to one of the following locations. True medical emergencies should go directly to a hospital Emergency Department.

Locations

Cotswold Urgent Care 231 South Sharon Amity Road

Eastland Urgent Care 5717 Albemarle Road

Steele Creek Urgent Care 9332 South Tryon Street

Again, patients suffering colds, minor injuries or flu-like symptoms may utilize these three centers until 9:00pm until further notice. Patients who are suffering from life-threatening conditions should call 9-1-1 or go to a hospital Emergency Department.
