CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

A violent road rage attack was caught on videotape in Mint Hill.

Earlier this month, Marty Baucom was rushing to a gas station because his Jeep was running on empty. He said he may have cut off two men in a sport utility vehicle on his way to the Sunoco on Idlewild Road.

The men followed him inside and attacked him.

The video clearly shows the two men, both larger than Baucom, punching, kicking and swinging a wine bottle at him.

Baucom suffered several cuts and bruises on his head but no serious wounds.

Detectives said they have identified one of the suspects as Stan Long, a regular at that store. Police said Long even went back to the store to apologize to the manager for tearing up the place.

Detectives will present the case to the district attorney on Thursday.

Authorities said Long told investigators that Baucom threw the first punch.

Police still haven't identified the second suspect. He was wearing a striped shirt, had a cast or bandage on his wrist and goes by the name 'Tre', authorities said.

If you have any information about 'Tre', contact Mint Hill Police at (704) 545-1085.
