Channel 9 Viewers Pack The Truck For Second Harvest Food Bank
Summer Food Drive Declared A Success
WSOC-TV hosted a special Summer Food Drive to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina and all day long Channel 9 viewers dropped off donations of non-perishable food.
The results are in: More than 5 tons of food was collected in one day!
SLIDESHOW: Channel 9's Annual Summer Food Drive
A special donation of $30,000 was presented by Grainger Industrial Supply. That translates to 180,000 additional pounds of food for Second Harvest Food Bank.
Summer is a crucial time for the food bank as supplies are low and the need is greatest. Thank you for your donations.
