CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
In an effort to improve local neighborhoods, 120 community leaders gathered in uptown on Saturday.
The heads of neighborhoods and business associations worked together to develop visions for their communities as well as long and short-term project plans.
One city leader from the city of Charlotte said she hopes the retreat will improve the quality of life for people in the Charlotte area.
"From the city's perspective we would like them to do anything that really unifies them," said the neighborhood resource manager for the city, Aisha Alexander.
The city of Charlotte partnered with Foundation for the Carolinas for the retreat.
