CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Coyote Ugly is expected to move from its College Street location over to the corner of Fifth and Pine. Above the new location is The Iveys, an upscale historic condo complex. A church, cemetery, and playground are all across the street from the location.
Neighbors met on Thursday night to share their concerns with police, who must report to the Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission about whether the location should get a liquor license.
"I would assume this building is gonna be inundated, this whole fourth ward area, which is residential, historic, which this building is gonna be overrun by people you don't want in the C.B.D., the central business district," said neighbor Brian Connelly.
Eyewitness News contacted the developer and the manager of Coyote Ugly. Neither returned our phone call.
