CMS Students Aim To Prevent Swine Flu On Campus

Swine flu is a concern all over the country as students return to school.

Charlotte Mecklenburg School leaders said they will not close down schools if the swine flu spreads. Instead, they will isolate the infected teachers or students.

Students suspected of having the virus will not ride home on the bus. Parents will have to pick them up.

Myers Park High School students are holding a huge sanitizer donation drive to try and prevent the virus on campus.

They’re asking people to bring sanitizer to the school since there is no school budget for it.

Randolph Middle School will do a similar drive later this week.

Nationally, health officials are getting ready for what could be the biggest vaccination drive in US history.

Health and Human Services said the vaccine should be available by Thanksgiving.
