CMS Teacher Charged In Rape Of Teen
CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
A Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools teacher is charged in the alleged rape of a 16-year-old girl.
Huntersville police searched Ernest James Nichols’ home on Willow Grove Way on Thursday afternoon. Nichols is a teacher at Ranson Middle School on Statesville Road.
Investigators said a teen called the police department on Wednesday night and said she had been raped six times at the home starting 11 months ago, when she was 15.
Nichols faces a total of 29 charges.
