CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. —
Police said the chase ended in Catawba County on Highway 10 after the rider lost control and sheriff McDevitt hit the motorcycle.
Eyewitness News asked the sheriff if he ever considered breaking off the chase because of the traffic.
"Every officer has those moments in every chase whether to break the chase off. But traffic wasn't extremely heavy during the chase," said McDevitt.
Police said the rider of that motorcycle, William Jason Morris, is charged with two felonies, including transportation of crystal meth. Exclusive Photos: Tuesday's Police Chase With Motorcyclist Sheriff Chases Motorcyclist Over Three Counties
