Dog Training Program Helps Inmates

GASTON CO., N.C. —

Four Gaston County prison inmates proved you can get a new leash on life.

They are now certified in dog training and the first graduates of a unique program.

For 12 weeks they helped to train dogs from the Gaston County shelter.

The dogs Zack and Scooter are now adoptable.

The inmates are the first graduates of the new program in Gaston County named "New Leash On Life."
