Early Voting Expected To Set Records

 

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

A record number of people are expected to turn out for early voting Saturday. This is the final weekend for early voting in North Carolina as the primary is Tuesday.

So far, 81,000 people have voted early in the state, with 28,000 in Mecklenburg County alone. New rules allow voters who are not registered to vote and register in the same day.

Voting locations will be open from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday.
