CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Myers Park Traditional Elementary School told parents someone who didn't belong on campus may have touched a student tuesday.
Apparently, the student was outside on the playing field. He told his teacher a man who looked "college age" came out of the bushes and grabbed his arm. Other students described the incident the same way. One told Eyewitness News the suspect got away in a silver car. The boy wasn't hurt.
While some parents call extra security "overreacting," others say it's a relief.
Lydia Skardon said, "The school always takes it very seriously. We usually get notified right away. (The) Principal's right on it."
The school shares the field with Queens University. Campus police don't know if the suspect is a student there. Authorities haven't released a description.
