Family, Friends Search For Missing Catawba Co. Teen

CATAWBA CO., N.C. —

Family, friends and volunteers gathered together on Sunday to continue their search for 19-year-old Travis Baker. Baker has been missing since April 2007.

The CUE Center for Missing Persons organized the search.

Multiple searches by land and air have been conducted over the past months. But many feel that the leaves from trees have hurt the search. Now that vegetation has changed in the area, volunteers are hopeful in finding him.

Baker is 6-foot tall and weighs 160 pounds with dark brown hair and blue eyes. He has three tattoos: his last name in capital letters across his back, the hallie on his chest and red and black tribal band on his upper left arm.

Baker's car has not been recovered either. He drove a candy apple red 1998 Camero with the North Carolina tag WRP 8627.

His family has offered a $12,000 reward.

If you have any information regarding Baker's disappearance please call the Catawba County Sheriff's Office at 828-464-5241.
