Firefighters Battle Two Fires In East Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Firefighters had a busy Monday morning with two fires at two locations that were only miles apart from each other.

The first fire was at a house on Lanecrest Drive in East Charlotte around 1 a.m. Monday.

Fire officials did not say if anyone lived in the house.

The second fire was about 45 minutes later Monday morning. Firefighters were called to Corktree Court in East Charlotte, which is about two miles south of Lanecrest Drive.

The Corktree Court fire broke out in the kitchen of a fourth floor apartment.

Everyone who lived in the apartment made it out safely, fire officials said.
