Former CMPD Officers To Plead Guilty To Drug-Related Charges

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Eyewitness News has learned that two former Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers will plead guilty to drug conspiracy charges.

Gerald Holas and Jason Ross have a plea agreement hearing set for Wednesday morning in federal court.

Both were arrested after an investigation lasting several months that ended with their arrests last month.

Federal agents said Ross and Holas helped protect an accused drug dealer by tipping him off to raids and by providing other confidential information.

Details of their plea agreements with federal prosecutors are sealed, but they are expected to be made public in court Wednesday.
