Former Officer Indicted; New Evidence Of Fondling Presented

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police said they've found new evidence of sex crimes committed by one of their own former officers.

Detectives presented evidence to a grand jury Tuesday about a case involving Marcus Jackson. They now say he fondled someone when he answered a call for domestic violence on Nov. 29.

The grand jury did not make a decision about that case or a case involving two other women from late December who said he touched them inappropriately during a traffic stop.

Jurors did decide to indict him on 10 other counts involving sex allegations. That means there's enough evidence for Jackson to stand trial.
