Four People Exposed To Carbon Monoxide In Ballantyne

CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

Four people went to the hospital Sunday morning after they were exposed to carbon monoxide in their homes on Coventry Court in Ballantyne.

MEDIC said a man called them at 3:30 a.m. because he was having trouble breathing. They discovered the man had accidentally left his truck running.

Investigators said the levels of carbon monoxide could have been deadly, and it took them two hours to bring the levels back down to normal.

A total of three townhomes were affected, and all six people inside the homes went to Presbyterian Hospital.

There's no word yet on their conditions.
