GASTONIA, N.C. —

A Gastonia man is waiting to be brought back to York Co., S.C. on child sex charges.

Robert Paytosh was arrested and charged Friday with two counts of committing a lewd act on a child under 16.

Eyewitness News’ newspaper partner, the Gaston Gazette, reported the incidents allegedly occurred last year. Paytosh is accused of molesting a 10-year-old girl twice in her mother’s home in Clover, S.C. in October.

Paytosh is being held without bond in the Gaston County Jail, pending extradition to York County.

As of Monday morning, Paytosh was not listed as an inmate on the York County jail's Web site.
