Human Remains Found; Gaston County Police Investigate

Gaston County police are investigating human remains found Tuesday near Dallas, N.C.

Gaston police responded to a call from a state utility crew that discovered the remains along Old Spencer Mountain road.

Police worked late into the evening removing the remains and collecting evidence from the scene.

Investigators said the remains appear to be that of a male and were fully clothed. Police described the clothing found on the body as blue jean pants, denim jacket, burgundy dress shirt and black combat boots.

An autopsy will be preformed to determine the cause of death and to help identify the remains.
