Judge Rules On Custody Of Slain Woman's Child

A Charlotte judge had a tough decision in a heated custody battle between a slain woman's family and the suspect's family.

Jada Jaworski, 2, has been cared for by her maternal grandparents ever since her mother Rochelle Woyee was shot and killed last December.

Woyee's boyfriend, Daniel Jaworski, is in jail awaiting trial on a murder charge.

Thursday, Judge Ronald Chapman ruled for joint legal custody with both sets of grandparents. The judge ruled Jada will spend weekdays at the home of her maternal grandparents, Robert and Elizabeth Woyee, and every other weekend at the home of her paternal grandparents, Elizabeth and Reginald Wilson.

The judge ruled all four grandparents have to work together to make decisions for Jada and if any of them argue about one another in front of the little girl, they'll be held in contempt of court.
