Lead Detective In Phylicia Barnes Case Suspended

BALTIMORE, Md. —

A Baltimore police officer who led the investigation into a missing local teen is now off the job.

Investigators said Maj. Terrance McLarney left the scene of a crash he was involved in on Sunday.

McLarney has been put on suspension.

In the meantime, a new detective is now working on the case of Phylicia Barnes, a missing 16-year-old from Monroe.

Barnes, a senior at Union Academy, was last seen in Baltimore, where she was visiting family over the holidays.

The National Center For Missing and Exploited Children assigned it's elite team to Phylicia's case.

Anyone with information can call the center at 1-800-THE-LOST or Baltimore police at 410-276-8888.
