Governor-elect Bev Perdue is meeting with North Carolina's local government leaders to discuss public infrastructure and economic development.
The incoming Democratic governor will hold a roundtable discussion Wednesday morning in Raleigh. Members of the League of Municipalities, the Association of County Commissioners and North Carolina Metropolitan Coalition will all participate.
The event will focus on issues facing local governments. Perdue has said she's hopeful that President-elect Barack Obama and the Congress will help put a national stimulus package in place soon that can provide states with money for road repairs along with water and sewer updates.
Perdue has held similar roundtables with other groups around the state.
