CHARLOTTE, N.C. —
Al Sharpton plans to stop by two local churches Sunday, Green Memorial AME Zion in Charlotte and Elizabeth Missionary Baptist in Monroe.
He's focusing on states that could be swing states in the presidential election, including North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Florida and Missouri.

Sharpton is urging people to register to vote, and he wants to draw attention to possible fraud -- something that's also on election officials' radar.
The head of the Mecklenburg County Board of Elections, Michael Dickerson, said, "Remember, if you're going to see anything, it usually shows up in your presidential year. There's just so much interest, so much out there."
About 63,000 new voters signed up this year so far. Democrats outnumber Republicans more than three to one.
